ADULT HOMESTAY HOSTING OPPORTUNITIES
WorldChicago is welcoming 30 international young professionals from 13 countries to Chicago through the U.S. Department of State Professional Fellows Program! Fellows are between 25-45, fluent in English and emerging leaders in the public and private industry.
During their month-long fellowship with a local organization, all fellows stay with homestay hosts and commute independently to their job sites each day. Hosts provide a separate bedroom and meals, and share their favorite parts of Chicagoland with their guest. Stipends are available for these programs.
- Fellows are from: Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cambodia, Croatia, India, Malaysia, Moldova, Pakistan, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam
- Fellowship dates: Mid-October - Mid-November (one month in length)

Who are our Fellows?
Anastasiia | Russia - is from Ryazan, Russia and is the director of 3 dance studios She mostly works with young dance students, age 3-16, but works with adults as well. She enjoys travelling, networking, cycling, fitness, and art events.
Ante | Croatia - Ante is an art director and entrepreneur from Osijek, Croatia. He is interested in tech innovation, co-working spaces and incubators, and best practices in supporting social enterprise.
Sabina | Slovenia - Sabina lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She is passionate about learning, with professional interests in youth empowerment, innovation, entrepreneurship, non-formal educational programs.
Tien | Vietnam - Tien is from Danage, Vietnam and works for a government think tank that focuses on policies for local and regional government. She is passionate about volunteering and gardening and is fluent in Japanese, in addition to English and Vietnamese.

ONE WEEK ADULT HOMESTAY HOSTING OPPORTUNITIES
WorldChicago is also hosting 6 young professional lawyers from Kazakhstan through the OpenWorld Leadership Program. These visitors are between 25-40 and are emerging leaders in the legal field in Kazakhstan. They are in Chicago from October 21-29 to learn about the U.S. judicial system and rule.
All visitors will stay in homestays and commute independently to the WorldChicago office each day. Hosts provide a separate bedroom and meals, and help immerse the visitors in American culture. The first language of the visitors is Russian but the majority of the participants and highly proficient or fluent in English.
Yelena | Yelena is 33 years old and lives in Almaty, Kazakhstan with her two sons. She is a lawyer at the City Legal Aid Bureau. Yelena's hobbies include swimming, hiking, going to the movies, and knitting.
Yernur | Kazakhstan - Yernur is from Pavlodar, Kazakhstan and works as an Attorney at the Pavlodar Regional Bar Association. His works revolves around economic, tax, and family law litigation but he is interested in learning about client and victim protections in U.S. law. Yernur has advanced English speaking skills and enjoys wrestling and boxing.

WorldChicago is excited to host entrepreneurs from Latin America & the Caribbean this October for the 4-week Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Professional Fellows Program. The 14 fellows from Argentina, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru working in marketing, brand consulting, social enterprise, children's publishing and literacy, women's economic empowerment, and sustainable development.
