Youth Ambassadors Program with Brazil: May 27–June 17, 2015
Chicago has been selected as one of just 10 cities nationwide eligible to submit applicants for these incredible, FULLY funded exchanges sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by World Learning. It's a 3-week program that begins in DC, then visits 2-3 cities in the exchange countries, including a host family component. These programs will also have U.S. mentors, so adults actively working with youth in either a high school or community settings are eligible and encouraged to apply!
- Brazil: April 11–May 2, 2015
- Argentina & Chile: May 27–June 17, 2015
*Because the dates overlap with the school year, WorldChicago and World Learning are happy to provide documentation of the program's merits to schools. These programs are considered prestigious and educational, and are not tours; participation on one of the programs would be a tremendous asset to a young person’s education and growth, and something that traditional classroom settings cannot provide.
- Must be 15-17 years old (at the time of the exchange)
- Must have at least one year of high school remaining after the exchange
- Must attend a public, public charter or homeschool
Please see attached flyer for more program details.
